JuryPlace rclone is a personal backup utility operated by the JuryPlace administrator. It is not a public file-hosting or backup service.
Information the utility handles
When configured and authorized, the utility handles the backup files selected by the administrator and related metadata such as file names, sizes, modification times and transfer status. Those backups may contain application settings, databases and other sensitive information already held on the administrator’s server.
Google OAuth access and refresh tokens allow rclone to communicate with Google Drive. These are held in the server’s rclone configuration, not on this public website. The utility does not request or store the Google account password.
Google access and purpose
The intended Google Drive scope is drive.file: access to files created by the application or explicitly opened with it. Actual access is determined by the permissions shown during Google authorization. The utility uses that access only to upload, list, verify, retrieve and, where the administrator configures retention or deletion, remove its backup files. It does not require Gmail or Contacts access.
Google user data is not sold or used for advertising, profiling or training AI models. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage, sharing and encryption
Source backups remain on the administrator’s server; uploaded copies are stored by Google in the administrator’s Google Drive account. Data is processed only as needed to operate the backup workflow, subject to Google’s applicable services and privacy policy. The utility does not intentionally share backup files with other users.
Client-side encryption using rclone crypt is planned but is a separate configuration step. Neither this website nor Google sign-in enables it automatically. Until encryption is correctly configured, uploads may be readable to the account holder and processed by Google as ordinary Drive files. The administrator must protect the server, account, OAuth tokens and any encryption keys.
Retention, deletion and revocation
The administrator controls backup retention on the server and in Google Drive. There is no automatic retention period imposed by this website. Uploaded copies can be deleted using Google Drive or the configured backup tools, subject to Google’s trash and retention behavior. Local copies must be managed separately.
Google authorization can be revoked in the Google account’s third-party connections settings. Revoking authorization stops future authorized access but does not delete existing backups. Any saved OAuth credentials can also be removed from the server configuration.
Visitors to this website
This website has no sign-in, upload forms or analytics scripts and sets no application cookies. Its web server and Cloudflare, which provides DNS, proxy and security services, may process technical request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and browser information for delivery, troubleshooting and security. Cloudflare may apply its own security mechanisms; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Website requests do not provide access to the backup utility or its files.
Contact and updates
For privacy questions, contact the JuryPlace administrator at [email protected]. This policy will be updated if the workflow materially changes, with the effective date shown above.
